No...not the underwater transportation vehicle that's sung as 'yellow,' but the teacher kind! I am very excited to officially be a substitute! I received a call tonight letting me know that I had an "awesome interview" and that I can now sub in the division I applied to! This is something I needed after a day like today--nothing too dreadful happened, but it was one of those days where you feel worn down and beat afterwards. That phone call was just the perk I needed! That and the cake Jon and I are going out for soon!
As a 5th year Education student where things are coming to a close, I am feeling it go by too fast, yet not fast enough! I am so eager to jump into the teaching world as an independent teacher! I really feel the "I'm done" sensation, and as I still have 6 days of practicum left, I need to push that to the side and really give to my students.
Phew! Six days to go.

Pictures
I haven't uploaded pictures from my camera in ages, and I finally had some time to do it tonight! As a result, I present to you a few "recent" pictures...

Here's Halle (my cutie pie neice!) and I in the freezing wind on our way to a family dinner...I think in late February...
And then there is Capo and I for an Easter photoshoot. I was trying to get him to be an Easter Guinea Pig...isn't he the cutest?

Here are my buddies from university (Arlee, Megan, Melissa, and Laurie) in our last university class in the B Ed program! We've had tons of fun together these last 2 years.
And this is from April's visit last weekend--we had supper together...can you tell Randall and I like to make faces in pictures?

Brain Break
Monday began my 2nd week of 4 1/2 weeks of final practicum. I came home yesterday with aching legs and feet..but I'm now recovered. It's going well so far, which I am really thankful for.
Some recent "events":
- Practicum starting
- Taking care of Ayii during Spring Break (we had 2 other boys over one night and was that ever entertaining!)
- Alicia and Rob's social
- Jon's sister April visiting from New Brunswick
- Practicum starting again--I'm done on the 30th!
- The purchase of a new Macbook--man it's awesome to be married students with more than one computer to use! (This could have been even more timely, seeing as I will no longer be a student in 22 days, but with Jon's school next year and my teaching, this will be a useful item)
- Beautiful weather finally arriving *hope it stays*!
- Stupid spring bugs showing up around the house/vacuuming
I am so excited to be done school and be able to hang out with friends more consistently.
This is somewhat of a disjointed post, but I'm saving all my eloquence and organized writing for my kid's worksheets/activities etc. these days. My brain needs a break!
